Personal loan eligibility in India

What lenders usually read before a personal-loan login.

What eligibility actually means

Eligibility is the lender’s view of whether a personal loan can be logged, not a promise that it will be sanctioned. WishON Finserv Solutions is a Direct Selling Agent. We can explain the usual tests and help prepare a file. The bank or NBFC decides.

A typical salaried file is read on in-hand income, existing EMIs, employer, and the credit report. A self-employed file is read on banking, tax returns, and how steady the credits are. The same salary can be acceptable at one institution and short at another.

Income and existing EMIs

Lenders cap how much of monthly income can go to EMIs. On this desk the working bands are about 50% for salaries of ₹20,000–₹35,000, about 55% for ₹35,000–₹50,000, about 60–65% for ₹50,000–₹75,000, and about 70–75% above ₹75,000. The exact ratio is the lender’s, not a rule WishON can override.

If existing EMIs already use most of that room, a new personal loan may not fit even when the credit score looks fine. Use the EMI calculator on this website with the rate the bank has quoted. Do not treat 9.99% as your rate. That figure is an indicative starting point for a strong file, not an offer.

What to do next

Check your own credit report on the bureau’s website before anyone logs a loan. Then send an enquiry with your city, employment, income range, and the amount you need. We will say if a login looks premature. There is no bureau pull on this website, and no sourcing fee from you.

WishON Finserv Solutions assists with the application. Approval, rate, and disbursement are decided by the partner bank or NBFC. Read the disclaimer and privacy policy.
