How a CIBIL report affects a personal loan

The score is one line. Lenders read the accounts under it.

The report, not a single number

TransUnion CIBIL and the other bureaus keep the credit report. WishON does not generate a score and does not pull your report when you use this website. The free annual report is available on the bureau’s own site.

Lenders look at whether EMIs were paid on time, how much of the card limit is used, how new the accounts are, and how many recent enquiries are on the file. A high score with a missed EMI last month can still be declined. A modest score with clean recent conduct can still be discussed.

Before a hard enquiry

Each lender login can leave a hard enquiry. Several logins in a short period make the next institution more cautious. WishON’s practice is to read the report first and log one or two institutions, with your consent, rather than send the file everywhere.

If an account on the report is wrong, raise it with the bureau using their dispute process. Do not wait for a loan rejection to discover it.

WishON Finserv Solutions assists with the application. Approval, rate, and disbursement are decided by the partner bank or NBFC. Read the disclaimer and privacy policy.
