Loan against property, explained

A secured facility. The property and the income are both read.

What it is

A loan against property is credit secured by a residential or commercial property. The amount is linked to the lender’s valuation and to the income that will service the EMI, not to the owner’s expectation of market price. WishON has filed LAP proposals up to the ranges published on the loan page. Those ranges are programme limits, not an approved amount for you.

Title, occupancy, and existing mortgages decide whether a file can even be logged. A clear property with weak income can still be declined. A strong income with a disputed title will not move.

Personal loan or LAP

A personal loan is unsecured and usually faster to discuss, with a lower ceiling. LAP can be larger and is priced as a secured facility, but valuation and legal checks take longer. We will say which conversation fits after the amount and the property are known. We will not tell you the property is worth a number.

WishON Finserv Solutions assists with the application. Approval, rate, and disbursement are decided by the partner bank or NBFC. Read the disclaimer and privacy policy.
